So, I’ve been looking for an actual working holster for the Beretta 21A since 1985. (yep, I’m that ancient) just have never been able to find anything that felt secure enough to ever carry the gun discretely and in a way that allowed for quick and positive retention. The design of these small guns just does not lend its self to a very secure holster. When I first saw the MK-TEC Kydex offering I was intrigued. To be honest, some of the reviews had me questioning, decided to give them a try anyway. Very glad I did. The holster fits the gun well with only slight play once it locks into place,(due to the design of the gun) but with the retention screw adjusted properly the pistol locks in securely with a nice audible click. If you carry appendix you should have no concern of the gun coming loose. also, you can easily carry the gun in a jacket pocket and if needed, the holster extends high enough along the slide to allow you to simply grip the pistol and pop the holster forward off the gun with your thumb. Please note however, this holster as it is designed works only with stock thin style Beretta grip panels. The larger aftermarket panels (like Altamonts or Hogue are to wide and actually will spread the holster and affect the retention) All that being said, if your only option is to carry this small of a caliber handgun then this holster will do the job well.
