Smith and Wesson 442 / 642 IWB J Frame Kydex Holster for concealed carry. Our IWB Holster is designed to be worn all day long.  Carried up front at Appendix carry or Behind the hip carry, this holster delivers.  Smith and Wesson 442 / 642,  .38 Special J Frame revolver IWB Holster.

  • Fits .357 Magnum 1.875″ J Frames in our Kydex Holster also.
  • Laser bump out for those who have Laser Grips.
  • This holster with the Offset Tuckable Clip sized for 1.25 inch to 1.75 inch belts, makes for an easy All day Comfort Carry holster.
  • An optional Upgrade to a Concealment Wing and Soft Loop option provide security on the belt with a Pull The Dot Snap.  Snap On from the Bottom up and Off from the Top Down.  Very Secure.  The Concealment wing works with the belt to force the Grip tighter into the body.
  • User adjustable retention.  Our retention is setup on one point while the clip is attached by two points.
  • A metal fabric clip is available for no belt needed carry.
  • A Metal three hole clip is available.
  • We build a slight forward cant into this holster.

Very happy ,
Deep covered and nice metal belt clip that won’t worry it will break. Works perfect in the 12 ,1 o’clock position and 4,5 o’clock position.

Good J-Frame Holster

This holster is a solid choice. The fit and finish are top-notch. I think it could be even better if it had two soft loops instead of one, and a larger wing or wedge to keep the gun closer to your body. If those options are available, let me know and I will order it!

Thank you. The Softloop Concealment Wing option we offer is a very popular belt attachment. We do not offer a double Softloop option with this setup, since we try to keep the small J Frame holsters smalland compact. Hope that helps explain why the single softloop option. Excellent J Frame Holster

Far superior to most other holsters for j frames. Well buffed edges, minimal pinch points, very clean design. Hardware is standard and easily worked on or replaced.

The soft loop / claw strut drew me in the most. I set out looking for tuckable and wing/claw features together for a j frame. Few other designs offered the claw option, and the few that did tend to utilize universal wings that were generally too large for the application. (Please offer that strut as a stand-alone that we can purchase!)

Blends in easily to the waist line, and stays put. It’s very discreet when untucked, but absolutely shines when tucked in. I received mine in time for a wedding, and was thrilled with the performance. I rarely say a concealed carry set up feels like it “isn’t there”, or that I “forget that it’s there”, but this is absolutely a correct statement here. No other holster/gun combos have truly blended in so seamlessly with movement and general lifestyle - which is why I have hundreds of hours already under my belt with it in the three weeks of owning.

Winner winner. Would recommend, may try with a standard plastic J clip at some point in the future, but for now I say the soft loop upgrade is a great option.

Fantastic holster

I ordered this holster with soft loops and the concealment wing. It's extremely comfortable. I forget I'm wearing it throughout the day.

Retention is solid. I slightly increased it from the out-of-the-box setting and it was good to go.

The only thing I'd keep in mind is it doesn't audibly click when the gun falls into place like some kydex holsters. That took some getting used to.
